POKOTABI / Fujise
旬味処 ふじせ
Fujise, located near Oshiage Station, serves assorted sashimi, ceramic-plate grilled duck, freshly fried tempura, and liver cutlets alongside local sake and house-infused fruit liquors.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Set along the railway lines in Oshiage, with its entrance tucked by the municipal housing complex, Fujise is a welcoming neighborhood izakaya offering an extensive repertoire of seafood, meats, and fried specialties. Daily seafood draws immediate attention, from a market-fresh sashimi platter to salt-grilled yellowtail collar, autumn bonito, and whole oysters in the shell.
Duck is another highlight on the menu, served as rich ceramic-plate grilled aigamo duck or comforting hot pot dishes that bring out its savory depth. The kitchen also turns out crisp fried fare, including mixed seafood tempura, prawn tempura, breaded liver cutlets, and whale cutlets, alongside comforting small plates like a 3-cheese omelet and freshly rolled dashi tamagoyaki.
To accompany the meal, the drink list features crisp draft beer, local sake served in traditional one-go measures, homemade fruit liquors, and an array of shochu highballs. Diners can finish with seafood crispy chow mein or simple comforts like onigiri and ochazuke, making the izakaya just as suited to a relaxed solo drink as it is to a lively dinner with friends.
